Empathy Art Educational Grants

Empathy Rocks in the USA & Kindness Counts

Children Mending Hearts is dedicated to ending bullying, hatred, and inequality through empathy and action. We have had our programs running in classrooms throughout the USA for 5 years to universal acclaim. These programs provide all needed supplies and take less than one hour a month. We have two different programs for your needs: one for TK-2nd, and one for 3rd-5th.

Created with grades 3 - 5 in mind, Empathy Rocks in the U.S.A. is an art program that explores recent and current issues in the United States, such as natural disasters, homelessness, and hunger. Students learn about the issue, about how people are using their empathy to help others, about why they should care, and about how they, too, can help. Each lesson finishes with a fun art project that helps to solidify the lesson in their minds. The program helps to heighten children's social responsibility and sensitivity to the world around them and to each other.

Kindness Counts is a Pre-K - 2nd Grade program by Children Mending Hearts and presented by KicKee Pants. Teaching our younger generations to spread kindness is more important than ever. This grant, inspired by the messages in KicKee Books, provides valuable lessons on kindness, compassion, and understanding to our youngest scholars to help them use kindness as the new standard. It is an eight-lesson art program is designed to start introducing kids to the concepts of kindness and empathy at a young age.

This grant is completely free for elementary school teachers and covers all necessary items.  The only things teachers need are a computer and projector!  Apply now for the 2023/2024 school year and see what a difference empathy can make in your classroom!
